My Take on Inception (SPOILER)

First of all, don't read this post if you haven't seen the movie yet, mad spoilers.

Now that I have seen the movie twice, some things are clearer now. I still think it is brilliant and one of the smartest movies ever made. This post is going to be more what I think about the movie and yes, the ending!!!

I am still not sure about the ending, if Cobb was able to come back to the reality or not. The first time I saw it, I thought it was definitely a dream. My biggest reasonings were the fact that Saito came back from Limbo and directly remembered the deal and called the customs, and Cobb's children. His house has never changed, his children looked and were dressed exactly the same in all of Cobb's dreams. And also, all the scenes after Cobb woke up on the plane, just seemed too simple and dreamy to me. So, I thought that he just got lost in the limbo and could not come back to reality.

That's how I thought until I saw it for the second time, today and now I have doubts. The fact that he was able to see his children's faces this time is one the reasons that caused me to doubt my prior interpretation. And throughout the movie, we saw that you never know how and where your dreams start, but Leo directly remembers how he woke up, and got to his house and saw his children. If it was a dream, we wouldn't have seen how he got to his children.

I think both interpretations are possible, and for now, I can't decide on which one I believe, but the thing is that it does not really matter. Christopher Nolan came up with this ending on purpose, because it doesn't matter if it is reality or a dream, and we can see this by the fact that Cobb didn't even look at the totem to see if it was real. Because in the end it doesn't matter as long as he was with his children and happy. And to me, this is the message Nolan and the entire movie was trying to make. And I don't really care if the totem fell or not, and it doesn't negatively affect how amazing a movie Inception is, although I would love the chance to see Nolan and force him to tell me what he meant to do in the ending.

Whatever interpretation you make or what your take is about Inception, the movie already has a special spot in my heart.

The parts where they talk about the nature of dreams, all the interactions of Cobb and Mal, and how they created their own world and grew old together there, the prison of memories Cobb created about Mal were my favorite parts of the movie.

But I have some concerns/doubts/questions about the movie, or maybe parts I didn't understand.

1- If these two companies are that big rivals that Saito came up with a plan like this, how the fuck does Fischer not know who Saito is? They are sitting next to each other on the plane, what the fuck?
2- If finding each other, or getting out of Limbo was that simple, why were they all freaking out about falling to the limbo?
3- Why were the projections in the third layer attacking them? Ok, Fischer was trained for extraction, but in the third layer, it was actually Fischer who was trying to reach his father, why were all those projections attacking our guys? I thought they only attacked in the first two layers, because the target was Fischer Jr. I don't get why they would attack Fischer in his own subconscious.

So, these are the parts I'm unsure about the movie for now, but overall, it's one of my favorite movies of all time.
